BlackBerry Z10 Vs Samsung Galaxy S4
Design
Samsung’s Galaxy S4 looks pretty much similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S3, but it is quite different from the BlackBerry Z10. The Galaxy SIV is pebble-like and rounded, the BlackBerry Z10 is stylish rectangular and thin slab of black. Both of these smartphones have a plastic removable cover. The Galaxy S4 is a big phone with the dimension of 69.8x136.6x7.9mm, while the BlackBerry Z10 measures 66x130x9.2mm. Both the BlackBerry and Galaxy S4 are light with the weights of 135g and 130g respectively.
Screen
The 5-inch screen of the Galaxy S4 has the resolution of 1080x1920, and a pixel density of whopping 441ppi. Comparatively, the 4.2-inch screen of the BlackBerry Z10 is small and comes with the screen resolution of 768x1280 and the pixel density of 355ppi. However, the pixel density of the BlackBerry Z10 beats the Sony Xperia S, HTC Windows Phone 8X, iPhone 5 and Nokia Lumia 920. Screen of both BlackBerry Z10 and Galaxy S4 look sharp.
Samsung has used the Gorilla Glass 3 and SuperAMOLED
technology in its new device. And it is hard to find any fault in the screen of
BlackBerry Z10. Contrast is good, colors are vibrant and it offers crisp and
clear text and images.
Processor
On our benchmark tests the Galaxy S4 came on top on all corners. The Exynos Octa-core processor present on the Galaxy S4 is the most powerful processor used in any smartphone till now. In some markets the Galaxy S4 also comes with the Snapdragon 1.9GHz quad-core processor. The BlackBerry Z10 is powered by 2GB of RAM and 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The dual-core process may sound less powerful as most of the high-end smartphones now feature a quad-core processor, but with the new BlackBerry 10 OS it is not a great problem.
The Galaxy S4 is available in three models, 64GB, 32GB and
16GB models. It also features a microSD card slot for external expansion of
memory. But, the BlackBerry Z10 comes with just a model of 16GB. It also has a
microSD card slot that supports the card of up to 64GB.
Cameras
The 13MP rear-facing camera of Galaxy S4 can shoot the Full HD video of 1080p, and the 2MP front-facing camera also can record the video of same quality. Meanwhile, the 8MP camera of Z10 comes with a F2.2 lens, a dedicated ISP, BSI and LED flash. It also records the Full HD video of 1080p.
Battery
A large and removable battery of 2600mAh is present on the Galaxy S4. In comparison to this the Z10 comes with a less powerful battery of 1800mAh (6.7Wh). BlackBerry claims the Z10 to offer 10 hours of talk time and 13 days on standby.
